NLP is toolkit; a set of methodologies and techniques. It is a structure of excellence, evolved from the study and modelling of life’s greatest communicators.
Many people have read a bit about NLP and many more have experienced some training in it. True mastery however, takes much more than knowing the talk; it requires constant wondering how (not why); curiosity (how to achieve best outcome) and the development of finely tuned sensory acuity. NLP really is an attitude of communication excellence. What business could not benefit from that?
“The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing. One cannot help but be in awe when he contemplates the mysteries of eternity, of life, of the marvellous structure of reality. It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend a little of this mystery every day. Never lose a holy curiosity.”
Albert Einstein (1879 - 1955)

Mastery of NLP allows a person to communicate clearly, congruently and concisely; viewing the response as valuable feedback. Far too often we have seen frustration boil over when the ‘other person’ fails to get the intended meaning. Elegant communicators simply take this feedback and adjust their pitch (calibration). Did you know that people store and recall information using primary representation systems (Visual, Auditory, Kinaesthetic, Gustatory and Olfactory)? This is useful to know, because when you communicate with them in their lead rep system, powerful rapport and influence can occur. NLP teaches how to recognise language patterns, read patterns of eye movement, gain rapport and lead the communication to a successful (win-win) outcome.
Because NLP listens to the structure of conversational language, a wealth of information is gathered about how people view and respond to life and how they are motivated. Which business wouldn’t benefit from knowing how to form and lead strong teams and projects?
"To the man who only has a hammer in the toolkit, every problem looks like a nail. But when you expand your listening pallet, you will be able to hear more and more."
Abraham Maslow
NLP is about strategy and I’m sure you can think of your own strategy (good or bad) for getting out of bed in the morning. You will also have a strategy for doing conflict or for giving a presentation. Even doing nothing is a strategy in itself. When you look at it like this, you might begin to wonder which of your strategies (or programmes) work well and which ones leave you (or your colleagues) less than enamoured. That’s when you can contact us to begin making changes life-changing improvements at work and at play.
